Where shall we wander?
Abstract landscape painting in acrylic with collaged elements (including some vintage map), the predominant colours are blues and greens. Lines weave across the painting reminiscent of paths and tracks through the landscape and shapes and forms suggest boundaries, walls, woods and plants. Three birds soar above the landscape.
The painting has several layers which have scraped into to reveal lower layers or glazed over to provide depth.
This painting was inspired by the drystone walls, copses, woods and hedges that form so many parts of the British countryside I travel through on my walks. My pictures are inspired by nature and the natural world.
The painting is on cotton canvas and is 46 x 36 x 1.5 cm ( 18 x 14 x 0.75 “ ). It is finished with a protective wax finish which is buffed to a soft sheen. It is framed in a hand finished white float frame. Framed size 48 x 38 cm, 19 x 15 “
