Tracks and trails
Tracks and trails was inspired by the landscape of copses, woods and hedges of the North Yourshire, against the backdrop of the hills of the Dales.
It is a stylised abstract landscape painting in acrylic with collaged elements. The predominant colours are blues and greens with pops of orange and yellows. Hills in the distance appear partly obscured by low cloud. Lines weave across the painting reminiscent of paths and tracks through the landscape and shapes and forms suggest fileds, copses and woods. Birds soar above the landscape.
The painting has numerous layers which give a translucent quality and depth.
