One of four small studies inspired by the different shapes, textures and colours of the landscape.  Texture in the picture is achieved by adding and subtracting numerous different layers of paint and using glazing and hand painted collage to provide complexity and interest.
 
This one references the well clipped hedges around fields silouhetted against the evening sky.
