Brunel's Bridge

Brunel's Bridge

£200.00Price

Brunel's bridge is one of a series of paintings inspired by walks in nature reserves in and around the beautiful Chiltern Hills. The "Brunel's Bridge" in the picture was seen from the Hartslock nature reserve on a steep bank in the Chiltern Hills above the river Thames. The chalk grassland was studded with wild orchids - pyramidal, bee and common spotted - they were everywhere I turned!  I'll be back next year.

The Chilterns are a crescent of chalk hills running primarily through Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. The nature reserves protect ancient pastures that are home to rare species of flora and fauna.
